Daiwa Procyon MQ LT Spinning Reel
The Daiwa Procyon MQ LT Spinning Reel is a new addition to the Procyon family of reels. The MQ in the name comes from the single piece Monocoque frame that eliminates the need for side plates and screws to hold the frame together. This makes for a stronger and lighter reel that is more durable. It also sports an Air Rotor and Air Bail that operate so effortlessly that it feels like they are floating on the reel. The super tough Digigear system is smooth and strong with upgraded gear teeth to mesh with each other better and operate under pressure. Anglers will also find Daiwa’s distinctive Advanced Tournament Drag (ATD) a benefit for setting the hook and fighting fish. When you set the hook, the reel instantly adds drag resistance, and then as the fish starts pulling drag, the ATD drag curve automatically returns to your prescribed setting. The Procyon MQ LT family features Long Cast ABS spool as well. The design of the spool’s lip allows the line to exit the reel at a much tighter cone-shaped angle, meeting the guide train with less resistance and force, alleviating wind knots and allowing for longer casts.
